Nowadays, we’ve been getting used to interpret images. All kinds of complicated imagesflood in our eyes, adding a rich content to our life. Teaching and Learning Arts is important inprimary school, it is an essential ability of pupils to decide how to choose the image that could bewatched and enjoyed; how to correctly decipher the images, and integrate it into their ownemotions and how to feel the images. Art education is the best way to cultivate this ability.This essay is trying to cultivate the ability of a pupil interpreting the images, teachers need tostarts from two aspects. First is to cultivate their ability of rational analysis on the image, bycomparison, analysis from the works form, control method of appreciation, and then analysis theworks calmly. The second is to develop the students’ basic ability, improve the aesthetic level ofthe students, cultivate their sentiments, and enjoy the beauty in literature appreciation of. This isconsistent with the primary school art curriculum goal of “emotion, attitude and values.". Imagefor the pupil’s cognitive development level, is very effective and could also a way of attracting theattention of students, it is a bridge for pupils to cognitive the world. The characteristics of pupil to cognitiveimages have three parts. First of all, they have interested in the well-known images; Secondly,interested in the images they can understand; Thirdly, interested in the image clear and simple.Teachers should consider these three characteristics when choosing the art appreciation works forpupils, and filter them pointedly.The basic point of primary school art teaching is to teach the students how to interpret theimages, let students learn how to watch image, read the situation, say feeling, teachers shouldcultivate students’ ability to use a variety of teaching methods to interpret the images. First of all,the creation of interpret the images situations to arouse students’ interest, lets the student feel artenjoyment; secondly, setting up interpret the images caused students to think, let the students toenjoy learning inquiry to interpret the images; finally, discuss problems clear awareness ofstudents, so that every student has the opportunity to participate in the appreciation of course ofstudy, the full expression of their ideas.The characteristics of pupil to cognitive images have three parts. When the teachers are guiding students to appreciate the art works and improving theability of pupils to feel at the same time, also has hugely helped other art lessons, such as painting,handmade class and appreciation ability, the relationship with interpret the images arecomplementary, mutually reinforcing.To cultivate students’ art appreciation ability, the art teachers must have high overall qualities.Not only posses the profound knowledge of art, but also to mobilize the enthusiasm of studentslearning. Art teachers have to keep learning, and familiar with the history of art, art foundation,historical and cultural and other aspects of knowledge. They also need to digest the art and otherdisciplines together, helping the students to form a whole learning system. In the use of teachingstrategies, they can separate the appreciation for art class and appreciate field, the two methodswill effectively improve the students’ ability of image experience strategy.
