"The new high school curriculum standards" clearly states that the group cooperativelearning activities are good ways to promote the teaching procedures and improve the studentsoverall ability in language learning. With the implementation of new curriculum, in recent years,many teachers have tried the theory of cooperative learning in foreign language classroom. Thespecific approach is to divide the class into several groups. The students in the group cooperatewith each other in the way of solidarity and cooperation, mutually holding each other in theguidance of the teachers. Thus, they learn each lesson arrangement actively with joint efforts,hoping to improve the enthusiasm and initiative of students learning English through this way,and thus help students form a diversified language learning, thinking and language awareness,promote the internalization of their language knowledge and skills.At present, the new curriculum is in the implementation all over the country. The groupcooperative learning mode in No.1Senior School of Zou Ping has been promoted andimplemented vigorously. Based on the analysis on the literatures of recent months and classroompractice, questionnaire and mathematical statistics, the researchers will further integrate theorywith practice to design an English teaching mode using group cooperative learning in order totest the above mentioned in the guiding role of the theory. In the period of one semester of theexperiment, I use the cooperative learning teaching model in the experimental class. The mainapproach is: First of all, the members of the class were reasonably grouped, and each groupmember gets a specific role assignment. Then the task designs and the students’ performanceevaluation are also treated as a unit. By comparing the experimental class and the control class,researchers say, group cooperative learning can effectively improve all aspects of students’English achievements. Therefore, it proves that "cooperative learning" is a kind of energy for allstudents and it is helpful for students to carry out a comprehensive language practice. In theseaspects, cooperative learning has the rationality and the superiority in high school EnglishTeaching in the English classroom teaching. Therefore, this article uses English classroomteaching in Zouping No.1senior school as an example. Through the theoretical research on thesenior English curriculum standard, combined with the group cooperative learning practice inZouping Number One Middle School English teaching, this article summarizes the groupcooperative learning in senior high school English Teaching’s advantages and problems. And thereasons are also analyzed in detail, and then this article put forward cooperative learning caneffectively carry on the proposal in senior high school English classroom and combination.
