Modern education emphasizes the need to put the students intoknowledge and information seeking and producers, cultivates students’ lifelonglearning ability and emphasizes the students’ subjectivity; Meanwhile the finalpurpose of education is to teach the students’ Autonomous learning.Why willthe students of the same intelligence and skills o in the same task environmenthave different behaviors? The main reason is that they have differentself-efficacy. It refers to self-generating capacity which can help the individualsto integrate various skills, or give the perception to the ability which cansuccessfully implement the behavior process that can achieve the desired goal.These result of the perception of ability is the self-efficacy.The period of juniormiddle school is the key period of physiological and psychologicaldevelopment in persons’ life.Many contradictions between internalpsychological development and social demands and needs will appear, thereforethis stage is a period that psychological problems will occurs.Severalinvestigations show that the level of self-efficacy for middle school student isclosely related to academic achievement and mental health, and to the sociallife’s conditions..。Proper self-efficacy can make up the student’s learning ability,and lower or higher self-efficacy will limit the students’ ability of how to learn something.A large number of studies show that self-efficacy is generative, canbe trained and brought up, thus cultivating junior students self-efficacy is greatsignificant.The research’s subjects is60junior high school students in the Linyi GaoDuHigh School, and the research utilizes the method combing questionnairesurveys and interviews.According to the research, the main conclusionsfollows:1、The junior school students’ self-efficacy has no significant difference insex.2、Through group counseling, junior high school students’ self-efficacy hasbeen increased, which indicates that the junior school students’ self-efficacy iseffective through group counseling, the intervention can be used as effectiveform of improving students’ self-efficacy.
