Animals and human beings in the world are survival and development of the space,andboth daily life and scientific activities should be have a certain spatial knowledge. In order tolearn and life better, human must be to explore and master the basic structure of space. Spatialcognitive ability is indispensable to human life, and it helps people adapt to a basic life. At thepresent,quality education is vigorously carrying out. We need to cultivate a large number ofcreative talents with spatial cognitive ability, and it is also important to adapt to the developmentof knowledge economy era.Along with the rapid development of information technology what has changed theorganization form and implementation method of innovation education, game-based learning asa new learning approach has been widely recognized and applied by the education community.Therefore, it has important theoretical significance and application value to use the method ofgaming for spatial cognitive ability training method research.According to the purpose and content of this study, the present paper on the basis of themethods of literature analysis, case analysis, and game design,etc, mainly do the followingseveral aspects work:(1) Fundamental research of the digital educational games for spatial cognitive abilitydevelopment.0n the basis of relevant theoretical research of spatial cognition, this paper findsthe basic way of combining spatial cognitive theory and educational games, and paves the wayfor the following design framework.(2)The construction of design framework of digital educational games. By analyzingdomestic and foreign spatial cognitive ability training models and the education game cases, thispaper puts forward the design elements and basic structure of digital educational games.(3)The software design model of the digital educational games for spatial cognitive ability.Starting from the design purpose of digital educational games to promote the development ofchildren spatial cognitive ability, and after a series of the analysis of requirements and software, the paper provides the design model of digital educational games. And starting from the angle ofthe instruction and game design, it also designs in detail the educational game instance of Mazefor Treasure. The development of educational game instance of Maze for Treasure. Based on thedigital educational game design and software design, this paper selects a section of grade3ofprimary school mathematics teaching material as the learning content for the game, and uses thesoftware of3ds Max and Virtools to develop the educational game instance of Maze forTreasure according to the selected content.Through collecting a large number of research topic related literature, the paper carried onthe sorting and integration, to extract the point of view of relational studies, and drew lessonsfrom the point of view and combining with actual study. And after a series of studies, the paperobtained the following results. And after a series of studies, the paper obtained the followingresults.(1) Come to the instructional design framework for the digital educational games. Startfrom the game theory, learning theory, spatial cognitive theory and instructional design theory,the design of the instructional design framework should include learning goals analysis, learneranalysis, game-based learning situation and task design, and the design of the rules of the game.(2) Come to the software design model of digital educational games. Based on the analysisof the instructional design of the digital educational games and the software design, the paper,which paves the way for the educational game development, devised in detail the game of Mazefor Treasure.(3) Development of Maze for Treasure game whose purpose is to cultivate children spatialcognitive ability. Based on the guidance of teaching design and software design scheme, thepaper chose "position and direction" as the study contents. According to the characteristics of themaze game, the paper applied3ds Max and Virtools as development tools and developed thegame example named Maze for Treasure, which verifies the feasibility of the game.Due to the limit of technology, the development and design of the digital educational gameis not in place, so the future research work will focus on the further improvement of the game ofMaze for Treasure.
