With the implementation and all-round development of national quality education, China has begun to enter the period of the National Fitness, a growing emphasis on the body health, which also created unprecedented conditions for the development of sports.Ssociety has begun to pay more attention to the cultivation of athlete and propose new and higher requirements. Recent years, there are also some changes on the Chinese table tennis teaching concept, including teaching ideas, teaching philosophy, teaching methods, teaching mode, teaching practice and so on, all of them are carried out certain reforms and achieved very good results.The purpose of this study is to analyze the Chinese table tennis teaching status in university physical education and teaching in-depth of Shandong and Henan provinces, propose the main problems exsiting in Colleges and Universities Chinese table tennis teaching, including lacking of space, low level of faculty, a single model of teaching, the traditional mode of teaching expect to be improved. This paper also carried out the hierarchical teaching methods and heuristic teaching method experiment, combining with the development of university teaching reform at this stage proposed how to effectively promote the reform depth of table tennis education in the provinces of Shandong and Henan, including changes in the philosophy of education and teaching, strengthening the stadium infrastructure construction, improving the level of construction of teachers, promoting Chinese table tennis teaching mode reform and encouraging extracurricular activities.Research methods include literature analysis, questionnaires, interviews and data analysis. The proportion of population research results show that the provinces of Shandong, Henan venue management system is not perfect, the teaching model is tradition, teachers are not enough (Master Grade Teacher is0, country-level skills teacher ratio accounted for12.5%of the total number of teachers, no level teachers accounted for25%), the structure of teachers is irrational(in educational structure, the Master accounted for81.3%of the total number of teachers, Bachelor’s degree accounted for18.7%of the overall quality of teachers, no doctoral degree). In addition, there are not enough atention paid on colleges and universities the Chinese table tennis teaching; table tennis teaching materials are relatively simple and boring, lacking the technical aspects introduction and the contents of the referee’s, teaching quality needs to be improved. The teaching experiment results show that in the teaching mode and teaching assessment criteria, there are more conventional teaching methods in two provinces,. There is no innovative teaching and teaching methods most remain in the traditional skills teaching. In addition, the Chinese table tennis teaching hours are relatively short, appraisal standards are simple lacking of the assessment of students’ comprehensive quality and ability. Therefore, we need to continuely promote the hierarchical teaching mode and the heuristic teaching mode in University Table Tennis Teaching and in the actual teaching process, culture students’ comprehensive quality and ability, inspire students to form independent thinking and hands-on ability, education students targetedly, promote students’ independent innovation capability, and thus constantly improve the college table tennis teaching and development of a systematic teaching and assessment system, and promote the sustained and in-depth development of the Chinese Table Tennis teaching.
