The Research Of Survival Condition Of Female Sex Workers In Middle And Lower Classes And Intervention Under The Perspective Of Social Work

Sex workers, we always know them as "prostitutes" or "hookers". Actually, public always think they deserved it when this kind of people injured by violence, sexually transmitted diseases or fairness of legal, most of people even mocking them instead of commiserating with them. No one really understand the difficulties they are faced with, their rights and dignity neglected by others because they are Sex workers. Many female sex workers are forced to be silence now’.This study try to insight into the living condition of the female sex workers from Feminism Theory and Social Work Theory perspective, respect them and accept them. From this paper, we can see the real process about how do social workers intervene the services of female sex workers in a professional way.According to the incomes, places, prices and living conditions, female sex workers could be segmented into seven levels. We are more tend to focused on the middle-level female sex workers. Study with this group is more typicality because it’s easy to practice and insight them.This study relied on the method of participant observation and interviews, we worked in the places where are the female sex workers working in Jinan, researched their live conditions and got the primary data. The reason why Sex workers choose this job could be divided as voluntary reason and involuntary reason. most of the sex workers started to do this job by being brought into the line by others and they had no choice in that time, they made the decision because they wanted to change their life. Many sex workers have be cheated for many times, many people chose to stay because they lack of a better choice or opportunity. Sex workers can have a better life if they are more professional, so they can have a clear professional identity, professional attitude, and they know more professional skills. Many sex workers have a plan to quit, but they don’t have an effective execution, they don’t know what could they do in the future. The author analyzed the data, described and explained the survival state of the female sex workers. Make a conclusion about the methods, try to find a best model to intervene their job and life.The risk division about sexual, take away sins from female sex workers, legalization are not included in this paper, but they are taking more and more attention now and they are what the author wants to research next.
