Social Work Intervention Study Regarding Old Aged Retired Vertan Cadres Living Under Poor Condition

Nowadays society, as aging population getting seriously, older age group becameone of the important objects of social work intervention. In order to get a deeplyresearch to this special group author worked in Chang Chun sanatorium army retiredcadres for social work experience. Retired cadres were not only having retend in theirgreat service to the whole country, but also were the valuable asset to the Party andnation people. In this special group, some of them were the heroic used to fight in thelong battle to achieve the brilliant achievements either in the National Liberation Waror the war to resist U.S.aggression and Aid DPRK. Some of them were used to benational model workers or March8thred-banner holders or even the professionals inresearch weapon or medical. From others sight these people experience a lot withtheir greatest glory life being. Even though after they retired, the government shouldtreat them very well as their service benefits. But after having deep research andcontacts with them, author found once they suffered living condition changes, thisspecial group will have much more aggressive reaction than normal people. Such asthe characteristic exchange crisis after the retirement. From working in the troops toliving back to local, parts of the retired cadres would be able to experience theexchange shock more or less. If we could not help them in time, it will caused someaggressive behavior to lead them into crisis. Besides, due to the special identity,whose people always with a very strong self-esteem, they are not willing to ask helpfrom others or with few friends etc. All these will become very difficult to overcomewhen they suffer the suddenly changes.Condition crisis as one of the crises means living condition suddenly changeduring the live. This belongs to a temporary crisis. Author wants to use social workprofessional method, applied to old aged retired cadres living under poor condition. Using professional social work method to let those old retired cadres which havedifficulty to overcome the suddenly crisis to return back to normal life as quickly asthey can. During the intervention process, increasing social worker quantity, improvevalue fit between both theory and actual practice for individual case, put social workservice method into social work practice.
