The Current Situation, Problems And Countermeasures Of Scientific Research In Higher Education Of GanSu Province

University scientific research level evaluation refers to carry on the analytical judgment to the research activities and input-output situation, to manage, supervise and regulate the research activity, and provide the basis for the next research decision through the scientific method based on the explicit evaluation objective. The university scientific research level evaluation has already become the important content of the university scientific research management; and the research of university scientific research evaluation has the important theory significance and practice value.Scientific research, as one of the functions in higher education institutions, is received ever-increasing importance and taking more and more significant part in the development of the nation, society, as well as the higher education. Although the research work in higher education institutions of Gan Su Province has been culminated great growth in the present, it is still seriously compromised and limited by various shortcomings; and the problems even exist within the research per se. Intended to give address to the existing problems and their influencing factors, this study proceeds to collect and statistically analyze the amount of thesis publishing, award granting, patent authorization and national funded program of the14undergraduate schools of Gan Su Province in2011.
