Higher vocational education is an important integrant of Chinese higher education. Higher Vocational Education, as the inevitable result of economic development and social progress, undertakes the task of bringing up highly skilled workers which meet the need of the production, construction, administration and service. With the development of our national economy. Higher Vocational Education has increasingly shown its great importance and the positive effects. In recent years, with the high-speed development in quantity of schooling and the increase in students number, the contradictions between the expansion of school scale and the shortage of teacher resources, the outdated equipment are becoming sharper and sharper. However, there are also a lot of hidden troubles in teaching quality which affected the competitive power of higher vocational education.As an important part of higher education, higher vocational education has its features that require us to re-examine the teaching connotation of higher vocational education and the pattern of training talent that are different from other types of higher education. As a complex system, the teaching quality not only involves all aspects of the work of higher vocational colleges, but is bound up with other work beyond school teaching activity. Based on the analysis and research about the theories and practice of vocational education in China, combined with the particularity of the talent cultication in vocational colleges, adopting System Theory, Overall Quality Management Theory and Cognitive Theory, this paper carries out a comprehensive discussion about the teaching quality and system of vocational education. It also researches into the teaching quality standard system, teaching quality monitoring system, and teaching quality assurance system from the perspective of the detailed compositon of the teaching quality system in vocational colleges, finally making the three major systems a harmonious untied whole, which provides vocational colleges with some theoretical support to improve their teaching quality.
