Knowledge of teacher is the base of teaching and also take an important part in teacher’s professional development.The concept of Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) which was proposed by Shulman was defined that a teacher transforms his own knowledge of subject to students with a style intelligible to students and make the effective teaching come true. It emphasizes the major characteristics of teacher which makes it different from other profession. This concept provides a new angle of view for the research of teacher’s professional development.Because of the individuality and particularity of English teachers in high senior school. This essay employs case study approach to explore an English teacher’s PCK current situation, what kind of factors of influence she has and how teacher develop her mechanism of factors of influence. This research wants to provide case support for the research of PCK.This paper mainly consists of four parts:The first part is the introduction. It mainly outline the background of this research, summarize the current situation of PCK, and illustrate the theoretic and practical significance, purpose, ideas and main methods. In this part it also introduces some basic situation of teacher H.The second part analysis the PCK’s current situation of Mrs. H. By classroom observation and interview which mainly contain the change of teaching task, teaching pattern of manifestation and some key events, this essay analysis the structure of PCK for four part including the knowledge of student, the knowledge of English, the knowledge of teaching and the knowledge of situation. The third part expounds the PCK’s factors of influence of Mrs H for five parts which include the factors of idea, the factors of curriculum, the factors of teaching, the factors of students and the factors of situation. This part reflects the change of different factors and its current situation of Mrs. H in the formation of her PCK. By the influence of PCK’s individual and situational characteristics, Mrs. H’ factors of influence also has her special character.The fourth part is mainly about the formation mechanism of the PCK’s factors of influence of Mrs. H, how teacher deal with the influences of different factors which means the procedure of internalization and externalization, how teacher promotes the reflection mechanism and form the Pedagogical Content Knowledge Knowing.Through the above case study, I deeply understand that teacher’s initiative construct and reflection has closely connection with her election of PCK’ factors of influence. As the main body of teacher’s knowledge, teachers are not blind and passive; the awareness of reflection and the active teaching knowing is the effective guarantee for teachers’ professional development.
