Research On Problems And Countermeasures About Occupation Moral Education Of Tourism Major Students

With the continuous improvement of national income, tourism plays a more and more important role in national spiritual and cultural needs. Tourism as a pillar of the tertiary industry of the national economy, its healthy and sustainable development is not only conducive to the growth of GDP but also a more important indicator of China’s social and economic progress. However, the huge economic interests of the tourism industry in the development process lead to quick action of tourism practitioners; the focus of tourism phenomena of moral anomie has become a social concern gradually. The cultivation of tourism talents in universities will be the main force of the future tourism employees. They guide the future direction of development of tourism and their moral level have a direct impact on the overall style of the tourism industry. However, most universities focus on training Tourism Major Students’ business ability and skills, occupation moral education is in the edge position. Occupation moral education of Tourism Major Students in colleges and universities is an important link of cultivating high-quality talents of tourism. Therefore, strengthening occupation moral education of Tourism Major Students has become an urgent task.The purpose of this study is to investigate the situation of occupation moral education of Tourism Major Students and find their specific problems and reasons existing in moral education in tourism occupation. The author put forward specific measures to strengthen occupation moral education of Tourism Major Students based on relevant theories and principles. The author wants to provide some useful reference for the establishment of a reasonable and effective tourism occupation moral education pattern. Review on related research results on the occupation moral education of Tourism Major Students, the author drew up the questionnaire about occupation moral education situation of Tourism Major Students. The author selected four universities which open tourism major in Chongqing and carried out the research by the way of questionnaire and interview survey. The analysis of the sample data using SPSS16.0shows that the overall situation of occupation moral education of Tourism Major Students is not very well. They don’t open tourism occupation moral courses; there are significance differences between occupation moral cognition and occupation moral judgment of Tourism Major Students in grade comparison. The practice situation of Tourism Major Students is different obviously in school comparison. Based on the results of the interview, the paper put forward the main problems of occupation moral education of Tourism Major Students:occupation moral cognition of Tourism Major Students is fuzzy; the curriculum system of occupation moral education is not perfect, the strength of teachers is weak; the content of occupation moral education disjoint the practice; the avenue of occupation moral education is single, teaching methods is traditional; the effect of occupation moral education is not ideal, the students are easily influenced by industry unhealthy. The paper make a detailed analysis mainly from three aspects of the students themselves, school and society to explain the reasons for the problems of occupation moral education of Tourism Major Students. Following the train of thoughts: present situation investigation, problem formulation, reason analysis and solution proposal, based on Kolberg’s moral development stages theory, Hoffman’s empathy theory and Bandura’s social learning theory, under the guidance of the principle of subjectivity, the principle of combining theory with practice and the long-term principle, the author proposes specific and feasible solutions in the three aspects of Tourism Major Students, universities and society. The author hope for the research contributes to strengthening occupation moral education of Tourism Major Students in colleges and universities.
