Textbooks are on the syllabus and the actual need for teachers and students, teaching application and selection of materials, is a teacher teaching tools and documents, is also an important content of the student learning activities. In2003, the new high school curriculum reform started in2010September, Sichuan Province in the new high school curriculum reform, as the last batch of the implementation of the new curriculum for teachers to adapt to the new provinces, teaching situation, successful experience can learn from other provinces, whether on the basis of the reference to achieve a breakthrough of the study will be necessary.This study conducted a survey to11middle school in Dazhou City, Sichuan Province, teachers and students, by the methods of field observation, questionnaire, interview, investigation of teachers in the teaching process, whether they can adapt to teach high school mathematics new textbook edition, new materials to adapt to the effects of teachers are analyzed, and corresponding suggestions are put forward to improve the adaptability the teachers of the new textbook.This research mainly launches from two aspects:(1) From the five dimensions of an overall analysis of the new teaching material of senior high school teachers to adapt to the situation;(2) Analyzing the adaptability of different types of teachers from the five aspects of gender, degree, title, age, school.Preliminary results of this study:(1)The teacher has made some achievements in the new textbook adaptability. Is mainly reflected in the teachers’ basic ideas of the new textbook comparison of identity, the role of teachers has also changed, the majority of teachers basic grasp of the new teaching content, after two previous experimentation area teachers’ adaptability have certain progress.(2)Teachers adapt to the new textbooks have some problems. The main performance is not consistent in the education idea and behavior on the part of teachers, teachers to the students’ subject status respect is not enough, the lack of teachers’ teaching and research capacity.(3)Sex has little influence on the adaptability of teachers, teachers’ adaptability by education, seniority, school different influence degree of adaptability, especially in rural areas of the new teaching material of mathematics teachers is obviously not enough.
