At the beginning of the new term in the autumn of2009, high schoolsin Inner Mongolia have entered the ranks of the new curriculum reform ofthe teaching. In the process, they meet some problems. They are how we canavoid our chemistry teaching trapping into the condition—“wear new shoesto follow the beaten track”, and with the development of the society, howchemistry teachers can actively adapt to the new curriculum reform andimprove the students’ interest in learning chemistry, which are importantproblems to be solved and that influence whether a high school chemistrynew curriculum reform can be carried out smoothly. The research is aimedat the following situations. In the high schools of Wuhai City, students’learning chemistry interest is low, chemical classroom teaching effect is notideal, and the chemical achievement is not ideal. With the new curriculumreform of the educational concept, the relative learning theory andcombining the valuable experience of the experienced old teachers and theresearcher, the researcher wrote “the questionnaire about high schoolstudents’ interest in learning chemistry with the new curriculum standard”,investigating603high school students’ interest in learning chemistry inthree high schools in Wuhai City. Based on the collected questionnaireanalysis and summaries, and the researcher’s students’ actual situation, theresearcher put forward a new course standard of the relative strategies toimprove high school students interest in learning chemistry. The studyespecially emphasized that as chemistry teachers, their qualities directlyaffect the students’ interest in learning chemistry, and constantly tried to findthe effective strategy to improve students’ interest in learning chemistry.With the actual teaching, the researcher confirmed that the new curriculumstandard of the relative strategy to improve high school students’ interest in learning chemistry is feasible and effective. The research mainly discussesthat with the new curriculum standard, how they can implement theinteresting chemistry teaching and the importance of the interesting teachingin the whole chemistry teaching. After full understanding the high schoolstudents’ interest in learning chemistry, the research studied the principleand relative strategies which can stimulate students to lean chemistry.
