Moral education in the middle school is a common concern of the whole society. In theera in which great changes occur and economy develops fast, all people in the society areexperiencing the unique influence that the era brings to us. Middle school students are in theperiod of growth and development not only as a physical individual, but also as a socialindividual. So, it is of practical significance to teach students moral and legal knowledge ofdepth and breadth which suits the demand of the society. It is essential for not only thestudents themselves but also the future of our country. But in the reality, the middle schoolmoral education is still in a weak position. No matter the educational administrativedepartments who are educational rules makers, or school and teachers, who are practicaloperators of moral education in the middle school, haven’t understood the importance ofmoral education. Their concepts and contents of moral education are relatively old and theirmethods of moral education are rigid and monotonous. And in the process of moral education,they haven’t taken all subjects into account, but only relying on the ideological and politicallessons. As for students, they haven’t taken the initiative in the process of moral education orprepared moral education materials in accordance with the characteristics of their physicaland mental development with their hearts. It leads to a situation in which moral education inthe middle school is boring, and loses realistic function of instruction in the growth of thestudents. History is a mirror which tells us that morality can make up talent but the talent cannot make up morality. So we must pay attention to the moral education of students. Theschool is the main place of moral education, and political lessons in the school have their ownunique advantages in the moral education of middle school students. We politics teachersshould have innovation and enterprise consciousness, explore and construct actively the newteaching mode, in order to enhance the effectiveness of ideological and moral educationcourse of moral education.
