Research On The Develop Of The Hong Quan At Lianhu District Of Xi’an

Martial arts is an important part of Chinese traditional culture and history. Aswe know, Xi’an of ShanXi Province is one of the birthplaces of Chinese martial arts.Lianhu District,one of the six districts of Xi’an, was named the national martial artsbirthplace in1996. As a native Martial arts which born in Guanzhong, the RedBoxing has been widely spreaded in this area. It has systematic training system andrich technical features that can be summarized by the following words “poling andcutting as the basis, hooking and hanging as the skill, tricky fighting as the method,moves changing as specialty”. In recent years, in order to make the Red Boxingknown by more people, the successors have participated in national competitions oftraditional martial arts and published many books introducing the Red BoxingAccording to the special local background and historical culture in current culturalRenaissance era, It’s an important issue to make the Red Boxing popularized in theLianhu district for improving the development level and energizeing the cultureindustry.In this paper, some methods such as literature data analysis, fieldwork interviews,questionnaire, statistical analysis and logical analysis etc. have been used tointerviewe the department heads, coaches and the inheritors of the Red BoxingMartial Arts of Lianhu district. From this survey, some problems can be found,such as lacking in advertisement, successors, spreading in campus and the way ofindustry.In order to improve the development of the Red Boxing, some strategies andsolutions have been given in this paper. First of all, the teaching books and televisionprograms of the Red Boxing should be published and data library of the Red Boxingin Lianhu District should be step up. Secondly, activities that bring the red boxinginto campuse should to be carry out, teaching material of Red Boxing should becompiled and teachers shoule be trained. Thirdly, some lectures on Red Boxingshould be given to the local community and government departments. The fourth,games and competions should be held regularly to enhance students’ interest inlearning the Red Boxing， and training system combined with contemporary theoryshould be made for its successors. Finally, the Red Boxing industry chain, theperforming groups and knockout tournaments of Red Boxing must be developed. And we should try to conduct traditional martial arts culture development forum onboth national and international scale, expand foreign markets actively and find theconsumption demand. Only in these ways,can we build up the Red Boxing brand.
