This research focuses on the real life of pupil from the angle of power and order. By participant observation for more than six months, using the research methods of chronicles of class and utilizing Foucault’s power theory, Bourdieu’s theory of social practice and Hayek’s order theory, the researcher has carried on the detailed and deep analysis on classroom life of elementary school students, and showed the survival status of pupil’s life with the first-hand data and information.This study believes that there are two kinds of order in the field of classroom life, one runs under the operation of power, and the other is the natural order of children’s growth. In the first order, combination of macro power and micro power, on one hand, this power uses various means of controlling in the field of classroom to pull everything into the range of monitoring, control and manipulation; on the other hand, the power uses pattern of interpersonal relationship shaping by different people possessing different resources to maintain the established ’power-order’ pattern. In this way, students’ classroom life turn into a strong social control field under the power and the order. The second order in the field of classroom life is the order of children’s growth. The so-called children’s growth refers to the body and mind, the function of organs constantly improved and mature. This order requests fully respect of children’s nature and growth pattern, satisfying multiple needs, and let children gain knowledge, broaden their horizons, and harvest happiness and feel free as well. However, there are two kinds of order exists in the field of classroom life, and their relationship is one falls while the other rises. That is to say, the other can be neglected if we focus on one. So, how to find a balance point between the two kinds of order has become a thought-provoking question.Our findings show that, in actuality, pupil’s life overemphasizes the order runs under the power, regardless of the growth order of children in themselves. Hence, it formed a contradiction. To solve this contradiction, we must first think about the three choices implied by the contradiction itself. They are the choice of norms and autonomy, socialization and personalization as well as the man-made order and natural order. After thinking, the researcher believes that it is not realistic to break the existing framework of ’power-order’, and the only way is to emancipate the mind. Thus, it becomes possible to regain the life view of education.
