Educational evaluation is an important element of the teaching activity. Thepurpose of evaluation is to make all the students develop well in the professionalqualification and physical and mental aspects as well. This paper focuses on how themulti-dimensional evaluation system can be applied in classroom teaching. Duringthe evaluation process, teachers pay more attention to diversifying evaluationsubjects and diversifying evaluation methods, reflecting developmental,comprehensiveness, stratification, the comparison between the students of the samelevel. Meanwhile, teachers attach importance to the diagnosis of evaluation function.Based on the above content and focus on building the content structure, in thefirst chapter, the paper lays down the research ideas and methods according to thestudents’ current situation. In the second chapter, the paper defines the concept ofthe evaluation of classroom teaching of English and the current research situation athome and abroad are summarized. In the third chapter, the paper focuses on twoaspects—the multidimensional evaluation of subjects and the methods. In class, asfor the choice of evaluation subjects, students are evaluated from more aspectsinstead of being only evaluated by teachers. More subjects are involved in theevaluation. As for the choice of evaluation methods in class, teachers attach moreattention to multidimensional evaluation in immediate evaluation in class,performance evaluation in group competition and effective evaluation feedback ofthe diagnostic evaluation. Based on the research result, this paper analyses thepositive effect of implementing classroom multidimensional evaluation and promotestudents effective power forward continuously. In the fourth chapter, implementingclassroom multidimensional evaluation plays a positive promotion on students andEnglish teaching from the changes of students and classroom teaching. Chapter fiveis the conclusion part including expounding both the shortage and contribution ofthis study. Finally, there are also some suggestions for teaching evaluations.
