With the continuous strengthening of China’s economy, Chinese language is becoming one of the most important languages in the world,thus the Chinese Popular phenomenon. Learning the Chinese language is becoming very popular in the world. According to the Chinese Hanban statistics, the world has tens of millions of students learning Chinese language, including Indonesia. At present Chinese language in Indonesia have many learners. In order to promote the Chinese language many primary schools, middle schools and universities started teaching Chinese language courses.The teaching materials (textbooks) play an important role in teaching Chinese language. The quality of the textbooks used directly affects the teaching results. This thesis focuses on two textbooks Chinese language learning in Indonesia:Bahasa Tionghoa and Senang Belajar Mandarin as the main research subjects. The two textbooks are designed for high school students who are taking Chinese language as their required or elective course. Chinese teaching in Indonesia is very important. This thesis uses the reading text, vocabulary, grammar and exercises the four elements do comparative analysis. According to the compiling principles textbooks teaching Chinese as foreign language, a survey was conducted.The respondents were high school teachers and students. At same time provide several suggestions to Chinese Language learning textbooks in Indonesian high school. This present study aims to improve learning Chinese language textbooks used in Indonesian high schools in the future and promote teaching Chinese language in Indonesian high schools.
