With the popularization of Chinese teaching all over the world, experts attachedmore importance to early second language learning. In Indonesia, children start tolearn Chinese at an early age, which demands more Chinese teacher. However, theteachers who are teaching Chinese as a foreign language in Indonesia are training tobe teachers for adults. Therefore, their teaching methods ignored children’s learninghabit as well as their physic and psychic features. Besides, there are a lot ofdifficulties in Chinese learning. Therefore, it’s very hard to complete the teachinggoal. More and more teachers realize that classroom teaching is the key point inteaching Chinese as a foreign language.All children like playing games. If we can combine games with Chinese teachingin classroom, we can inspire children’s learning passion, and help them to learn in ahappy way. This thesis try to discus Games role in Chinese classroom teaching basedon the following theory: classroom game basic theoretical knowledge, Learn Together,Use Together theory. Following the children’s learning characteristics; the writerselected some representative games in the classroom from practical teachingexperience. These games are divided into different categories, such as pronunciation,Chinese character, vocabulary, grammar, passage etc. Under the guidance of LearnTogether theory, the writer explored the matters which need attention according to theprimary school Chinese class in Indonesia and analyzed the teaching effect. Thewriter summed up the problems that should be paid attention to of game application inChinese teaching in the hope of stimulating children’s Chinese learning interests andimproving the quality of Chinese classroom teaching.
