Teenager swimming athletes consist an important reserved resource for the swimmingcareer of our country, while the national teenager swimming competition is a platform forthem to show their talents. Cherishing every competing chance to perform well in theswimming pool is the great dream of every athletes. However, the crucial part of sports gamedetermines that only one can stands out as the champion, which requires the athletes toperform almost perfectly without making any mistake. Normalization of motions andtechniques is strongly related to the performance of an athlete and these movements serve asthe lever. Performing strict and normalized motions will lead to a well graded completion, arepresentation of high level coach, as well as a good test for the athlete’s training. Meanwhile,all the changes in this competition, such as the change of the coach’s training schedule, thechange of the athlete’s competing level or the change of the game rules are centered aroundthe normalization of these movements. Coaches will set specified schedule based on theunique characteristics of a particular athlete, in order to make the techniques well normalizedand improve the performance; An athlete’s final performance is also determined by if s/he hasmastered a strict and solid set of movements in training; The change of rules is by all meansaimed to help the athletes show their skills better, which is also a reflectance of humanity insports. The rules are set based on different age bands to better serve the athletes. In a word,movements and techniques consist the lever, which directly affects performance.This dissertation sets the violation facts during the2010,2011,2012national teenagerswimming championship (at Chongqing, Changchun, Haerbin) and the2010,2011,2012national teenager swimming contests (at Chengdu, Zhangzhou, Chongqing, Jinan) as theobject of study, conducts in depth research of fouls and techniques, summarizes the reasonsbehind these violations, considers how to correctly coach the athletes in amateur swimmingcontests for basic level coaches and provides specified advises to set solid foundation forimproving our athletes’ performance during teenager contests, using literature material law,mathematical statistics, questionnaire method and expert interviews as the analyzing tool.Our research concludes with:1. Based on the research, the contest type with the most violation times is Medley swimmingand it is followed by Breaststroke, Freestyle Backstroke, Butterfly and Relay. This indicatesthat the swimming types with the more complex movements, more technical steps and moredetailed requirements tend to have larger number of fouls for teenager swimming athletes inthe2010-2012contests. The number of violations has a positive correlation with thecomplexity of the swimming style.2. The technical step with the most fouls during swimming is turning in the2010-2012 contests. and it is followed by middle-way, launching and the finish. This indicates thatturning is a comparatively more difficult technique for teenagers and violation is more likelyto happen when the movement is more complex.3. Male athletes tend to have a larger number of violations than females while youngerathletes have more violations than older ones. Therefore, having more experience of realcompetition is better for just training in improving the violation condition.4. Techniques and the rules affects the Provinces of fouls for teenager swimming athletes inthe2010-2012contests.5. The change of rules affects the performance of violation.
