Ideological and political education is the rich tradition of our education. It undertakes theduty to training the socialist builders and successors. The model of explicit ideological andpolitical education is the main method in universities, and it has achieved a very good results.Investigated the university students we found that the ideological state of them is active, healthyand upward, and they have a stronger political receptivity. But with the development of the era,ideological and political education is facing a higher challenge, some disadvantages of theexplicit ideological of political have highlighted. At the same time, we found that the hiddenideological and political education can make up the shortfall of the explicit ideological andpolitical education. Facing the new situation, we should unite both of the two method, so that theideological of political education can play its effect. It makes sense of construction of the modelof hidden ideological of political education.Ideological and political education is a common education all over the world. It is early tostudy the theory of hidden curriculum in other countries, especially in the United States, they introduce the theory into the practice of ideological and political education. And their abundanttheories and practices is important to us to construct the model of hidden ideological of politicaleducation.This article based on the theories and practices of hidden ideological and political education,especially based on the experiences of the hidden ideological of political education of the UnitedStates. We believe that the ideological and political education activities is the object of the studyon the hidden ideological and political education model of universities, it aims to improving theefficiency of education, and it is a educational paradigms to put the hidden ideological andpolitical education theories into the practices. This article believe it is necessary to construct themodel based on three points: the disadvantages of explicit ideological and political education, thedevelopment of era and the new characteristics of university student’s ideological state, and thinkwe should construct the model from the concept, carriers and contents. First,we will set up theconcept about hidden ideological and political education, we must predict the relationship ofexplicit method and hidden method. Second, we will improve the carriers of hidden ideologicaland political education. For example teachers, the design of the campus environment and newmedia, they can undertake the duty to carry the education information, especially the new mediasuch as Microblog and E-book. Third, it identifies the importance to carry out education activities through the specialized course, emergency and television works, they make thecontents of ideological and political education richer.
