In recent years, many experts and scholars have been studying on discourse more andmore widely, making a lot of contributions in various disciplines, which enablesdiscourse become an indispensable part of social life. Discourse, as an essential symbolof the ideological and political education, should connect with each other. Under thebackground of globalization, multiculturalism has become the trend of development. Asthe society is progressing, the new media also gives students a lot of fresh discoursecontent and form, providing a new opportunity for development of ideological andpolitical education discourse. However, behind the opportunity, there are morechallenges.This thesis is mainly in reference to the domestic and foreign experts and scholars’discourse researches. The author refines the parts associated with Ideological andpolitical education. Starting from the current forms of ideological and politicaleducation discourse, focusing on the challenges that exist in the discourse of ideologicaland political education in colleges under the multicultural background, the authorlaunches the preliminary analysis and study for the purpose of exploring the conversionof ideological and political education discourse in colleges under the multiculturalbackground. Therefore, this thesis mainly launches the research from the followingaspects:The first part is the illustration on the related background. It mainly includes: theresearch background and significance of the thesis, the summary of domestic andforeign research results, the research methods and the innovation points. It provides thebackground knowledge and the theory reference for the thesis.The second part is the explanation of the related concepts. First of all, the authorinterprets the multicultural background, and discusses its characteristics. Secondly, theauthor defines the related concepts of the ideological and political education discoursein college and analyzes the importance of the discourse in college ideological andpolitical education. Finally, the author discusses the forms and characteristics of thecurrent ideological and political education discourse in colleges, providing a theoretical and practical basis for the study.The third part aims to systematically study the opportunities and challenges of discourseof ideological and political education in colleges under the multicultural backgroundthrough the combination of theories and practices. According to the current situation,from external and internal aspects, the author of analyzes the reasons restricting itsdevelopment, providing facts and direction for the thesis.The fourth part aims to explore the conversion of ideological and political educationdiscourse under the multicultural background from the aspects of concept, content,method, field and educator’s discourse ability and personal charm. The author attemptsto improve the effectiveness of ideological and political education in colleges andachieve the expected goal through the method of combining the discourse of ideologicaland political education and the social reality.
