With the development of multimedia technology and the popularity of networkapplications, the construction of digital learning resources is receiving much more attention ofthe countries and schools. In the meantime, the number of digital learning resources in thenetwork has increased dramatically, which has formed a huge amount of digital learningresource. For a great deal of information resources, we are most concerned about how muchinformation are digital learning resources and where are these digital learning resourcesdistributed. To solve these problems has great significance on construction, management andeffective use of network digital learning environment and resources.The main research problem of this project is to analyze the distribution characteristics ofthe network digital learning resources. The main objective is that by studying the number,distribution and existence form of network digital learning resources, the existence form anddistribution characteristics is researched from the perspective of mining of huge amounts ofdiscrete digital learning resources application. In the process of research, automaticcombination between computer and manual work can help researchers search and download acertain amount of learning resources in those significant and highly-visited websites, identifythose types, get statistical magnitude of teaching resources according to type of function, filetype, site type corresponding to file format and information service form in order to study thedistribution characteristics and laws, as well as exploring the mining method, managementmode and application mode.Digital learning resources of this project refer to the combination of website, webpage,document, procedure, database, media material, which can be used in the education andteaching process. According to the functional character of education and teaching, digitallearning resources can be divided into media materials, test questions, test paper, courseware,case, document literature, trouble shooting, network course. Thereinto, media materials consistof text, picture, video, audio and animation; courseware comprises stand-alone courseware and network courseware; document literature includes syllabus, teaching programme, teaching plan,form, learning summary, experience exchangement, text of a statement or speech, e-book,academic paper, degree paper, proceedings, report, conference proceedings, journal, criterion,document and rule.According to file type and format, this project carries out investigation and statisticalanalysis of information resources linked and embedded in474most popular educationalwebsites and several educational websites and non-educational websites. Analysis shows that,①a small amount of information resources linked and embedded in educational websites islikely interested by education workers and learners;②digital learning resources like website,webpage, document, video, audio, PPT, procedure and compressed files are mainly imported inthe form of links; digital learning resources like image and Flash are mainly embedded, whilstare linked complementarily③digital learning resources in website, image account for higherproportion, while digital learning resources in procedure occupy lower proportion;④digitallearning resources distribute unevenly all kinds of educational websites; there are less networkcourses and teaching cases, which should be paid attention to in the process of educationalwebsite construction.
