The development of the primary school students are impacted by families,schools and the society. Family is the first also the most important place to primaryschool students. It is inherent and can not be chosen by children. So family is animportant part for development of the students, which provides material and spiritualsupport for the development of primary students. According to the new curriculumideas and the current needs of the society, the development of the students should bemore stressed on the all-round development. In addition to the intellectual factors ofacademic development, it should include creativity, interests, attitudes, habits, moralquality development and other non-intellectual factors. Family cultural is different, sothe impact to the primary school students is different, thereby affecting the fairness ofeducation.However, scholars are mostly concentrated on family cultural capital, or theimpact of family background on students’ achievement, ignoring the impact on otheraspects. And the research about development of the students mainly focused on onesingle aspect, which lacks of a systematic research. Also it doesn’t deeply reveal thefactors that affect development of the students. Therefore, in this thesis the authorfocuses on the family cultural capital to the all-round development of the pupils.In order to be well understood the family cultural capital on the development ofprimary students, the thesis mainly uses questionnaires and interviews which selectthe two primary schools in Lixia and Tianqiao District of Jinan City. It conducted asample survey on the fifth grade students, and gets some specific situations of thefamily cultural capital to the impact of the primary school students’ development.Through the statistical processing of SPSS software, the thesis analysis the impact of family cultural capital on the development of primary students, and then proposedsome improvement countermeasures, in order to provide a good environment for thedevelopment of primary students.This thesis is divided into five parts. The first part is introduction which talks thetheoretical analysis of the topic. It includes the pose of the question, literature review,research ideas and meaning, research methods.The second part is the summary of family cultural capital, mainly talks thedefinition of family cultural capital and related theoretical foundation.The third part is about the survey on the status of family cultural capital of Jinancity and the development of the primary school students. The thesis usedquestionnaires and interviews in order to facilitate the investigation and analysis. Inthis part the family cultural capital is divided into three aspects: the main culturalcapital objectified cultural capital and institutionalized cultural capital. Also it dividedthe development of primary school students into academic performance, creativity,interests, attitudes, habits and moral character. The author wants to investigate thesituation of the primary school students through the eight aspects.The fourth part is the analysis of the impact of the family cultural capital to thedevelopment of primary students. Through the depth analysis about the results of thesurvey, the author found that the primary schools academic performance, interests,habits are greatly influenced, but the attitude, creative and moral quality of primaryschool students is not so significant.The fifth part summarizes the conclusions and recommendations of the impact offamily cultural capital on the development of primary school students, mainly givesome suggestions on the factors of family, school and society. It provides the basisfrom both theoretical and practical aspects of the development of the primary schoolstudents, in order to provide a good environment for students.
