After the Opium War, the Chinese traditional society suffered from anunprecedented impact.Under the crisis of genocide, the people of insight haveto seek the way of salvation, various national salvation thoughts sprang out,the influence of thought to save the nation by education is far-reaching inall kinds of saving the nation ethos. In the beginning the late Qing Dynasty,due to political instability and strong repression of western culture,traditional Chinese education concept changed a lot, during this period, a numberof advanced Chinese people began to fumble the development path of Chineselanguage education, through the national language movement and new culturemovement, different with the old education concept of the modern education ideabegan to form, Li Jinxi, Hu Shi, Ye Shengtao, Cai Yuanpei are the representativepeople.After the establishment of the Republic of China, conducted a series ofreforms, in September1912, the republic of China ministry of education announcednew system-RenZi system, then successively published a series of educationorders, these orders with "RenZi system", known as "RenZi&GuiChou system". Inthe process of implementation, this system exposed many problems, in this case,in1922,the ministry of education of the Republic of China drafted "RenXu system".System changes, is bound to cause education aim, teaching content, teaching,and many other aspects of the change.This paper altogether is divided into four parts in the structure:The first part is mainly about the review of the language education of primaryand secondary schools before the Republic of China, including the ancientlanguage education, the bud of modern Chinese language education, languageeducation and the establishment of the modern Chinese language education, fromthis three aspects of content, simple introduce of the republic of China beforethe language education of primary and secondary schools has carried on thesummary. In the long historical period, Chinese primary and secondary school language education has gradually formed its own characteristics, even today,the presence of these features are still more or less.The second part is the language education of primary and secondary schoolsduring the first ten years of Republic of China, mainly includes the cause ofthe republic of Chinese education reform, primary and secondary school languageeducation policy and implementation details, at the same time will also be thelanguage education of primary and secondary schools of the republic objectiveevaluation. This period is a turbulent period, subject to the impact on theenvironment, the period of middle and primary school Chinese language educationpresented the advancing trends in the twists and turns, at the same time, becauseof the reversionary and revolutionary struggle, education policy is not stable,directly influenced the language education of primary and secondary schools.Themiddle and primary school Chinese education situation is the key point of thispart, involves the education objectives, curriculum setting, education contents,education methods, teachers and textbooks, supplemented by case analysis.Third part is about the language education of primary and secondary schoolsunder the new schooling system,including the reason of education reformationduring this period,the situation of the implementation of the primary andsecondary school language education under the new system,at the same time, toevaluate the language education of primary and secondary schools under the system,this part also pay more view to the implementation of the language educationof primary and secondary schools, the concrete content includes educationobjectives, curriculum setting, education content, education method, teachers,textbooks, and case analysis.The fourth part is about thinking of primary and secondary school languageeducation in the early Republic of China, mainly includes the development trendof Chinese education,achievements and problems of primary and secondary schoolsduring early of the republic of China, primary and secondary school languageeducation experience in three parts. Early of the republic of China small andmedium-sized Chinese education overall trend for the tradition to the modern transformation, although in the process to produce a series of problems in theprocess,but also a lot of achievements,many experiences are worth our using forreference.
