| In recent years, social work professionalism has developed continuously, but it also causes some problems:low social identity, the professional brain drain is getting more serious. A lower professional identity is one of the main reasons of personnel draining, so it makes great theoretical and practical sense to carry out research on professional identity of social workers. Based on combining the previous studies, this paper applies qualitative research method, carrying out deep interviews with11social workers of Jinan. Through analyzing the data, deriving the professional identity status and its influence factors of the social worker of Jinan, curves regarding of the professional identity of two kinds of social workers are concluded and summarized. Besides some proposals are given on how to improve their professional identity.The professional identity status of the social worker is analyzed from profession prospect, profession value, profession affection and profession skills:most of the social workers think that social work has a bright profession prospect, they have a strong sense of achievement and gratification, they have complex feelings towards this work, they love it but have no sense of security, they have clear understanding of the skills for a qualified social worker; a tiny minority think the future of social worker is full of uncertainty, they show cold shoulder to this work.The factors that influence the professional identity of social workers involve social factors, individual factors and other related factors; lower social cognition, insufficient government support, lack of professional education and professional development etc have an impact on the professional identify of social workers; the value of dedication will help the professional identity, the man has slightly lower professional identity than woman, the social workers with high profession quality and psychological adjustment have much stronger profession identity; moreover, the positive evaluation by the service target, good working environment and practice-oriented working content as well as perfect encouraging promotion system will contribute to the profession identity of social workers.The curves for the professional identity of social workers are divided into two categories; one is the identify curve of the volunteer social workers, the other is the identify curve of the social workers who are not willing to be social workers but do it by chance, the tendency of the two curves are basically accordant, there are3phases:the initial period, elevation period and recession period, at the initial period, the identity of the two types of workers has difference to a certain extent, the former is higher, at elevation period(0-lyear), the identity of both types get elevated simultaneously, at the recession period (1-2year), the identity comes down, there are many variations in the professional identity of future social worker, we cannot make an accurate estimation.Finally, the author puts forward some proposals according to the factors that influence the professional identity of social workers:the departments of the government should issue the relevant policies and regulations and put them in place, try its best to create a good atmosphere for social work development, improve the identity and cognition of social work, vigorously develop the profession education of social work, elevate the professionalism level of social work; the social work institution should make perfect encouraging promotion system, improve the working environment, enhance the sense of belonging of the social worker group; the individual social worker should adjust its profession mentality, strengthen its profession faith, enhance the profession will and constantly improve the profession qualities. With the efforts of government, institution and individual as well as the entire society, the profession identity of social worker, will constantly be improved and this will lay solid foundation for the construction of social worker talent team. |
