In recent years, the profession of social work is rising in the mainland of China; its target aims at constructing a socialist harmonious society and lays a solid social foundation for our country.20years ago, the profession of social work only developed in Hong Kong, Macao, Shenzhen, Beijing and Shanghai. Since the party’s16th sixth plenary session proposed to "developing a large social work personnel", the central18departments enacted " Opinions on strengthening the social work professional talent team construction " and central19Departments enacted "Medium and long-term plan of constructing social work professional talent team" up to now, profession of social work has a great leap forward development at the national policy level, national governments, universities and social organizations are training and absorbing social work students.As the profession of social work was introduced from abroad, its development based on education and training. At present, there are over250universities owning professional social work major in China, which initially forming the education structure of education specialist, undergraduate and graduate school three levels, and they develop about15000professional social work students each year. It means that the profession of social work has been widely accepted in the academic field of China. However, the employment situation of social work graduates is not optimistic; the author had proposed the social work professional employment sub culture as its reason. This essay is in reference on the existing social constructivist model research of the employment problem of social work undergraduate, basing on sociology, social work and other professional theory as the guide, using the combination methods of quantitative and qualitative research, choosing professional undergraduate students and students majoring in social work in M school to collect relevant data, and at the same time, using the SPSS statistical software to analyze the questionnaire data. The main structure of this paper is as follows:First of all, to make the literature retrieval and review on Chinese social work students’ professional identity researches, comprehending the development of the related fields in the domestic and abroad, and at the same time, choosing the sociology, social work and other related theories such as social constructivism theory as the theoretical guidance of this report.Secondly, to deal with the data in the report, using descriptive analysis method to outline the basic situation and professional identity of low grade students majoring in social work in M school, using cross table analysis of correlation to show the influence of non-economic factors and economic factors on the aspects of professional identity. Using advanced statistical analysis method to explore the questionnaire data deeply, and through factor extraction to show that the value identity factor, interest identity factor, factor and daily performance factor are important factors impacting low grade social work students’ professional identity.What’s more, to compare the high grade professional social work students interviewed data with the low grade professional identity factors to conclude the clear social work students’ professional identity status and dilemma, at the same time, the author tries to construct the model of influencing social work students professional identity based on the whole research data.Finally, according to the various factors of affecting social work students’ professional identity, putting forward to carry out intervention from three aspects of the casework, group work, case study of social policy. Such as:as for casework intervention level, to do psychological counseling of professional identity, shaping professional knowledge ability; as for group work intervention level, to promote the professional growth in education group, promoting the understanding in self-identity group, promoting mutual recognition in self-help group, promoting the interest cultivation in interest group; as for social policy intervention level, to reform professional admissions ways, guiding to innovate training methods, promoting the professional employment to fit, exploring study development, promoting the social work credibility, improving the social workers’ treatment.In order to provide prospective thinking for shaping social work students’professional identity, and provide perspective on researching future development of social work major in China.
