The Study On Professional Identity Of The Dongguan Justice 萨_ 匪 �' 罗 Social Workers议_历 |闻 关 !__

Along with the transformation of social structure, adjustment of economic structure and the differentiation of interest structure, the social contradictions has become unprecedentedly diverse and complex. The whole society has reached an agreement that the judicial work at the grassroots level should be enhanced and the crime prevention mechanism should be established. To improve and transform the government management function and develop the power of social organization, the social work has started to get involve in many judicial fields, such as community correction, social protection, legal aid and etc.. The justice social work, because of its fundamentality, preventability, serviceability, comprehensiveness and persistence, plays an important role in building the harmonious socialist society. Therefore, the occupational identity of justice social worker, who offer justice social service to others, influences both the quality and the professionalization of justice social work. Based on these, the research about the occupational identity of justice social workers has important theoretical and practical significance.Using qualitative methods, this paper do research on the professional identity of justice social workers and its effect factors. Through in-depth interview with ten justice social workers in Dongguan about their work experience, this issue is depicted with five dimensionalities: 1. motivation of choosing this profession, 2. occupational status and satisfaction(including duties, salary, training, promotion, and circumstance), 3. occupational cognition, 4. occupational emotion, 5. occupational expectation. Meanwhile, this paper analyze and discuss the influencing factors of the occupational commitment which includes motivation of the career choice, work satisfaction, self-actualization degree and the social identification level. Considering these factors, this paper offers suggestions from four angles(governments, colleges, social work institutions, justice social worker), to increase the occupational identity. In details: 1.The governments should improve the salary design and raise salary incentive effect, should plan the work content properly and show their values. 2. The colleges and universities on one hand should pay attention to cultivate the students’ professional identity and sense of mission, on the other hand should enhance the professional training and the working ability. 3. The organizations should focus on investigating the motivation of candidates and equip them with proper supervisors. 4. The social workers should master good self-regulation methods and right self-image with constant learning and reflection in their work.
