In recent years,under the support of national policies,China's social work has a good development trend.Government's emphasis and policy support on social work,is conducive to social work development in our country,for social workers are endowed with responsibility and mission.But now,high quit rate of social worker,gender imbalance in social worker,low social awareness and recognition.Restricting the development of social work industry.At present,the academic circles of our country have less research on male social workers' career self-identity,studying it has important significance to the healthy development of the social work.The author used questionnaire method and interview method,through five dimensions research on career self-identity of male social workers.The study found that male social workers' career self-identity is low in Chengdu.Working full time,position,and vocational certificate status for male social workers career self-identity impact is significant.Salary and welfare,career prospects and promotion space,family members,relatives and friends to the attitude of social work to the most affected male social workers' career self-identity.Male social workers and female social workers differences in many aspects of career self-identity,relative to other professions,the social work career self-identity in different genders has its own particularities.The author on the basis of the above research,discussed the social workers process of career identity and current professional identity status theory.Personal development and the development of industry is closely linked.Social work's professionalization and localization,need to start from the promotion of professional identity.Finally,the article proposes to enhance the professional identity of male social workers through three levels.Micro level,male social workers should enhance career confidence,enrich professional knowledge,and actively maintain professional image.Middle level,optimizing the management level of social work institutions,colleges and universities to actively promote social work occupation identity of academic innovation,social work association play a leading pioneer role,to create a good atmosphere for the occupation of social workers.The macro level,the government to promote the perfection of the laws and regulations,increase the social work occupation of social security investment and social support,to create a good social work occupation image,multi dimension and get rid of social work occupation gender segregation.
