Today’s society, single parent families children become the focus of social attention.This study as the energy station light group as an example to the death of a spouse makeresearch type single parent families children’s psychological needs. Data mainly comesfrom the behavior of five the research object of observation and depth interview. Thisstudy thinks that widowed type single parent families children’s psychological needs are:peer acceptance requirements, others praise and recognition of demand, respect demanddemand and family communication, with four aspects. From the perspective of social work,meet or single parent families children’s psychological needs, there are two main ways, oneis from the guardian native support of family, one is the support from the society level,namely social workers to help them help others and help them to strive for the socialresources, etc.The meaning of this study is to breakthrough the previous research the externalevaluation perspectives adopted in single parent families children, but to explore from thechildren’s own behavior and words. Proposed meet the widowed type is an effective way tosingle-parent families children’s psychological needs, in order to grasp the specific needsof this group provide a reference for social work services.
