China’s practice of reform and opening-up improves that urbanization and industrialization is the basic way of resolving the problem of "three-agriculture". However, at the same time, it took unprecedented effect on the farmers, for example, numerous farmers lost their land. This condition is special serious at rural and fringe of the big and medium-sized cities. Research on the current situation of landless peasants and the social support, it has a very great theoretical and practical significance.Along with the rapid development of industrialization and urbanization, a large number of agricultural lands are expropriated, houses are dismantled and landless peasants appear. This study takes land-losing peasants as the subjects from the in the suburbs of Nanchuan District, using questionnaire survey and the method of combining in-depth interviews to explore the social support network of land-losing peasants. In this paper, the author takes land-losing peasants’demand as a foundation, and divides the social support into three dimensions:material support, emotional support and employment support, respectively exploring the status quo of the social support network of the land-losing peasants from the aspects of the formal social support networks and informal social support networks analysis. And then, attempt to make some suggestions to perfect the social support system for landless peasants.By using questionnaire and case interviews to obtain materials.350land-losing peasants were inquired, and the results were studied by statistical analysis, this research analyzing the data, whieh is from the questionnaires collected, with the SPSS. Inaddition,36land-losing peasants were investigated. Family economic, self development, social security, social support network and difficulties and problems of the land-losing peasants were studied by the author. It includ eight parts:Part one, as a preface, includes the background, purpose, significance of this research;Part two mainly describes fundamental conception and summarizes the relatable study in domestic and foreign;Part there is about the brief introduction of the research design, also, it describes the research method, design of the survey questionnaire, etc.Part four focuses on the investigation samples’economic and soeiety, also, it describes the basic charaeteristics of the sample.Part five analyzed the current situation of landless peasants through an empirical study, including the employment, the land expropriation and resettlement pattern,social security issues,etc.Part six elaborates respectively analyzes the characteristic of the land-losing peasants’ social support. Based on data from questionnaire and case interviews, the author comes out an empirical study on the social support network. The research content includes the network scale, material support, emotional support and employment support and so on.The survey shows that formal soeial support was comparatively lacked, and informal soeial support for the land-losing peasants was not enough to cope with all sorts of diffieulties. The average of the land-losing peasants’ social support network is small. The convergence of the losing peasants’ social support network is very strong, but the heterogeneity is very weak.Part seven Based on the study above, the paper makes suggestions for the social support system of deasants losing lands.Part eight is conclusion and prospect.
