| In2003April, the Ministry of Education promulgated the "ordinary high school curriculum plan (Experiment)" and "Curriculum Standard (Experiment)" of15discipline on high school. In2004September, the four provinces include Shandong, Guangdong, Hainan and Ningxia was in the first trial. Since then, the eighth curriculum reform of the ordinary high school taken place. The reform was stronger and deeper than before. Whether from the curriculum standard to the arrangement of teaching materials, or from the core idea to course objectives had thoroughly changed. The new material reflected the concept, goal and content of the new curriculum. At the same time it was the reference and basis of teachers’teaching and students’learning. The teacher, as the implementation of the new curriculum reform, who whether could change the old teaching materials and adapt to the new teaching material or not, had become a important topic to us.This paper selected a high school geography teacher of X high school in Chongqing which began to reform in2010. By the investigation method, observation method, literature method, the writer expounded the characteristics of new textbook based on the old teaching material. Ding Chaopeng’s textbook "structure and content of quality evaluation" divided textbook in three parts: aim of textbook, content characteristics (deep structural elements of the selection and deep structural elements of the organization), teaching textbook. So this paper of examined teacher Y’s adaptability from the six aspects. And then the writer analysed the factors which affected teacher Y’s adaptability on new textbook. Finally taking the teacher, textbook compilation researchers, schools into account, the writer tried to put forward the relevant suggestions. The paper structure as follows:The introduction part——illustrated the origin, research actuality at home and abroad, the core concept, research ideas and methods. It was paving the way for the subsequent research.The first part——based on old textbook, this paper analysed the new geography textbook of high school, including the basis of its preparation and the characteristics of the new textbook, and then konwn changes well in the content selection, organization and presentation.The second part——the core parts of the thesis. At first this paper introduced the background of the case in detail, including the X school and teacher Y. Then the writer inspected the teacher’s adaptability from the curriculum standard which the new textbook followed, content selection, content organization structure, content presentation, breadth, depth and difficulty. This paper was focus on teacher Y’s change in psychology and behavior, which reflected teacher Y’s confusion and efforts in the use of new materials.The third part——based on the second part, this paper analysed the reasons on teacher Y, the new textbook, the X school and students.The fourth part——Based on the influence factors of teacher Y’s adaptability on the new geography teaching material of senior high school, this paper put forward some suggestions, from the teacher, textbook writers, schools. The writer hoped that it could help the teacher Y adapt to changes in the new geography textbook better, and use it creatively. |
