Along with the rapid development of economy, the arrival of information age, all kinds of pressure or negative event is coming to people. Facing family, career, and interpersonal aspects of all kinds of worries and troubles, individual psychological health has become especially important. For college students, they face the negative life events and stress related to family, education, employment, interpersonal and other fields. In this grades, interpersonal communication has become an important part of college life, and what is happening in the field of interpersonal negative life events on mental health of the individual are more important. How to reduce or even prevent the occurrence of negative life events, or treat negative life events correctly, so as to improve college students’ psychological ability, enhance the psychological quality of college students, maintain the psychological health of college students become urgently needs to solve the problem.From the point of view of positive psychology, interpersonal self-support is viewed as an excellent personality factor in traditional Chinese culture and hypothesized as a health personality, is the important aspect of Self-Supporting Personality, is the important content of healthy personality. Interpersonal self-suppor t may be viewed as protective factors to help individual personality resist interpersonal stressor.The study proeedures are as following:from literature analysis to instrument design, to measure implementation then to analysis of charaeters and relationship. Based on the collating and analysis of literature and relevant questionnaires, individual interviews etc., we preliminary build the structure of interpersonal stressor among college student, namely interpersonal demands, interpersonal conflict, interpersonal frustration and interpersonal loss. And on the basis of these theoretical dimension, through the preliminary testing and officially measured steps, exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis and other statistical methods compiled the Interpersonal Events scale of College Students ". Using the Self-Supporting Personality Scale of Adolescent Students and Interpersonal Events scale of College Students, through the difference test, correlation analysis and regression analysis to explore the characteristics of interpersonal stressor of college students and its relationship with interpersonal self-support, interpersonal self-support is viewed as protective personality factors resisting interpersonal stressor.Through a series of investigation and analysis, this study the following conclusions:(1) The interpersonal stressor of college students is a multi-dimensional structure, which was refered to four dimensions:interpersonal demands, interpersonal conflict, interpersonal frustration and interpersonal loss.(2) Interpersonal Events scale of College Students had preferablere ability and validity, which could be used as a good measure to assess interpersonal stressor. (3) The results showed that there were nonsignificant differences in sex, major and grade in the frequency and effect of interpersonal stressor.(4) Interpersonal self-support was viewed as protective personality factors resisting interpersonal stressor, interpersonal self-support was beneficial to reduce the frequence and effect of interpersonal stressor.(5)Relative to independent interpersonal stressor, dependent interpersonal stressor was moer closely associated with interpersonal self-support.
