Empathy is the ability of individuals to put themselves in other people's emotional feelings to identify, understand and respond to it, resulting in having the emotional feelings of others in common. In modern society, empathy has something important to do with moral development of the individual, interpersonal relationship. From the empathy perspective, the study researches the correlativity and impact between the empathy of college students and interpersonal relationship, from the interpersonal trust and disturbance of intercourse.This study can give some theoretical significance in enriching the empathy and interpersonal relationship. At the same time, it has some practical significance to improve students'interpersonal trust, reduce interpersonal disturbance and achieve interpersonal harmony and physical and mental health.The first part of this study mainly uses interviews, questionnaires, expert review and other methods to discuss the structure of college students' empathy, and construct the forecast questionnaire. The results showed that students' empathy ability is recognized by the empathy identification, empathy understanding and empathy response, which are constructed by the three dimensions and the six factors. Meanwhile, the study also showed that this questionnaire has good reliability and validity.The second part used the questionnaire to research the relationship and impact between the empathy and interpersonal relationship of the students, and draws the following conclusions:First, overall, the empathy has significant differences to different grades. Specifically, the dimension of empathy identify has significant differences in gender, males recognition are higher than females obviously; significant difference in grade, and the freshman has the highest empathy identify; served as only children or not has significant differences, the students served as only children is higher than the others. On the empathy understanding, differences in demographic variables were not significant. On the empathy response, the difference between freshman and sophomore are significant, and the freshman students have higher empathy response. Second, empathy (including dimensions), interpersonal trust, and interpersonal disturbance have no significant difference in the majors. But to the further analysis of the six factors in the Empathy, it has significant differences in the reverse understanding, positive response, and negative response. It has significant difference in reverse understanding and reverse response factors, and the science students scored higher than liberal arts. Significant difference in positive response factor, and students of liberal arts scored higher than the Science students.Third, interpersonal trust has significant difference in gender, and female was higher than male, but the extent of interpersonal trust in general are not high in all. It is no significant difference in grade. But freshman and sophomores have significant differences in interpersonal trust, and sophomore has higher degree. Interpersonal problem has difference in grade, sophomore and junior have significant difference, and sophomore has the largest degree. Significant differences in the coming areas of the students, rural students were significantly higher than urban students.Fourth, on the whole, the six factors of the empathy, the interpersonal trust, and the interpersonal disturbance have significant correlation. Specifically, interpersonal disturbance with the identification others and consistent understanding factors of Empathy has significant negative relationship, and with the reverse response and reverse understanding factors are significantly correlated. Interpersonal trust and the reverse response were negatively correlated. Interpersonal trust and interpersonal disturbance were also significantly negatively correlated. Empathy, interpersonal trust, interpersonal disturbance and demographic variables are also correlative.Fifth, as a whole, empathy has significant predictive power in interpersonal disturbance, that is to say, the stronger of the empathy, then the fewer interpersonal disturbance. Reverse response factor of the empathy has significant predictive power in interpersonal trust, which is in the interpersonal, the reverse response is more, and the interpersonal trust is lower. Reverse response factor has significant positive prediction in interpersonal disturbance. Namely, the reverse response is more, the interpersonal disturbance are more, the relationships are worse. Emotion recognition of others, consistent understanding, reverse comprehension and reverse response factors produce a more significant impact on the interpersonal disturbance. Interpersonal trust has significant predictive power in interpersonal disturbance, and the higher degree of interpersonal trust, then the fewer interpersonal disturbance, then interpersonal relationships are better.
