Research On Effectiveness Of University Students’ Ideal And Conviction Education

China is going through social changes unparalleled in scope. In this background,how to do university students’ ideal and conviction education well is an importanttask. Ideal and conviction education of university students has always been aneducation activity which the Communist Party of China paid great attention to, andmade brilliant achievements in the long-term practice. Recently, the main situation ofuniversity students’ ideal and conviction is healthy and positive, while some studentsdidn’t built up scientific ideal and conviction. The key factor to make universitystudents build up scientific ideal and conviction is the university students’ideal andconviction education which includes the ideological and political theory course as itsmain way. For now, the university students’ ideal and conviction education need to beproved, the study from students’subjectivity should be enhanced. The research oneffectiveness of university students’ideal and conviction education which based on theinvestigation, can help educators to carry out education more effectively, help studentsaccept education more effectively. The aim of this study is to improve the effect of theeducation, and help university students to reach their prime for playing great part inconstruction of Chinese characteristic society.This paper is guided by the Marx’s theory, and is in accordance with therequirements of the Party Central Committee on the education of ideal and conviction.It started from the connotation, content and function of ideal and conviction, analyzedthe three major factors which influence the formation of ideal andconviction——school education、social environment and the student subjectivity，alsodiscussed the particularity of the education of ideal and conviction. Through thesurvey to424undergraduate students from four universities, we investigated thecurrent situation and the problems of university students’ideal and convictioneducation. The investigation shows that, the university students’ideal and convictioneducation is ineffective, the education activity ignores the student’s interests and needs.The needs of ideal and conviction education of college students shows in thefollowing aspects. The students want ideal and conviction education to be the personal life and career development planning guidance, to pay attention to thetraining of knowledge, ability, quality; students have interest in social events,insufficient attention to the theoretical knowledge; students are keen on social practice,they are very sensitive to network information channel.To these situations, We should adhere to the principle of adaptability, principle oftimes and principle of practicality, to improve the effectiveness of the ideal andconviction education. Taking into account the development of knowledge, ability,quality; use hot spots of society and politics news to enrich the education content,combine the theoretical knowledge with the content close to the students’ actual life;carry out the experiential practice teaching, innovate interactive education on networkplatform. The implementation of these countermeasures can make education bettermeet the students’ needs, and improve the effectiveness of the universitystudents’ideal and conviction education.
