With the advancement of new curriculum reformation, the educational theory aboutstudents’ all-round development and life-long development has aroused more and moreattention. High school geography’s new teaching aims are described from three parts, whichare knowledge and skills, process and method, emotion attitude and values. The concern foremotion attitude and values has been raised to a new level, which has been an important partof curriculum objective. The traditional geography teaching emphasizes students’ grasp ofknowledge and skills, but it ignores the cultivation of students’ emotion attitude and values.As a result, it is an important task for every geography teacher to cultivate students’ emotionattitude and values.Based on the summaries of related researches and psychology, pedagogy, geographycurriculum and teaching theory and so on, this thesis adopts literature survey, questionnairesurvey, statistics method to analyze high school students’ emotion attitude and values and alsothe implementation of them. In the end, it puts forward the requirements and strategies toachieve emotion attitude and values. This thesis consists of the following five parts:The first part is introduction, which elaborates research background, research status,theoretical basis and research methods.The second part is the exposition of geography emotion attitude and values, whichincludes the relationship among emotion, attitude and values, high school geography standardand the classifications.The third part is the current situation investigation, which includes the investigation andanalyses of high school students’ emotion attitude and values and teachers’ implementation inteaching.The fourth part is the implementation strategies, which put forward the necessaryconditions and useful strategies for geography teaching.The last part is conclusion, which summarizes the main studies.Based on the research achievement of previous studies, this thesis combines withstudents’ actual situation and geography teaching to analyze in order to provide somesuggestions both in theory and in practice. As the limitation of time and the author, the depthof the research discussion is shallow. Therefore, the implementation of the teaching aims needs to be further improved.
