| Trait anxiety, personality and concentration are important psychological factorsaffecting athletes’ performance which have always been the central issues in the fieldof athletic psychology. This research mainly focuses on excellent free combat athletesin China, understanding their trait anxiety, personality and concentration and therelations among them.Literature research, psychological measurement and mathematical statisticswere mainly applied in this research. We chose STAI by American psychologistSpielberg to measure their Trait anxiety, EPQ-RS, modified from EPQ by Britishpsychologist Eysenck to measure their personality and D2test table to measure theirconcentration. After the analysis of35athletes, following results were shown.(1) For trait anxiety, the difference of excellent free combat athletes on gender isnot significant; The difference of excellent athletes’ trait anxiety on training time isnot significant; The difference of excellent athletes’ trait anxiety on educationbackground is significant. Post hoc test shows that the difference between those oftechnical secondary school degree and bachelor’s degree is significant.(2) For personality, the difference of excellent free combat athletes on gender isnot significant; The difference of excellent athletes’ training time is not significant;The difference of excellent athletes’ trait anxiety on education background is notsignificant.(3)For concentration, the difference of excellent free combat athletes on genderis not significant; The difference of excellent athletes on training time is significant;The difference of excellent athletes’ trait anxiety on education background is notsignificant.(4)There shows significant positive correlation between trait anxiety andpsychoticism of excellent free combat athletes, but no significant correlation betweentrait anxiety and psychoticism, introversion-extroversion and dissimulation. Thereshows no significant relation between personality and concentration. There showssignificant negative correlation between their trait anxiety and concentration. |
