The traditional political education emphasizes on the core position of teacherand teaching material. The teacher is the “ruler” of class, and teaching material is themain contents for students to study. The teacher will teach students systematical theknowledge and skill of ideological and political theory through teaching material.During the teaching, the teacher often ignores students’ needs and the students onlypassively accept the book knowledge, so students’ subjective initiative and dominantrole cannot be reflected.After1980s, the education starts to pay attention to principle of “students first”.It requires that in order to realize education purpose, the teaching idea, teachingmethod, teaching evaluation, and even teaching material reform shall makecorresponding changes and conduct corresponding transformations. Creatingsituational teaching is the important topic of current course reform; Theestablishment of situational teaching is the exploration topic in the education ofsenior high school. The teacher gradually understands the importance of situationalteaching in the class teaching of senior high school. The situation can arouse studentssentiment feeling and promote students to actively construct knowledge. Onlyideological and political teaching of senior high school pays attention to students’true course and personal feeling, and creates a learning environment based onlearners, can it promote students’ learning and growth better.The paper has four chapters: Chapter I introduction explains the connotation ofsituational teaching and study significance in aspects of theory and practice. ChapterII analyzes the significance of application of situational teaching in ideological andpolitical education of senior high school in light of requirements of reform, currentsituation of class teaching of senior high school, and specific teaching cases. ChapterIII further analyzes the method to establish situational teaching and the strategy toimplement situational teaching in combination with specific cases. Chapter IVsummarizes the current situations of political class practice of senior high school, analyzes the problems in the progress, and rethinks the discussion and analysis tocarry out situational teaching.
