Martial arts is the quintessence of Chinese culture and needs our heritage and development.Facing to the current problems, the study combined with the plentiful experiments of situational teaching and used the situational teaching method to research the pupils’ PE teaching.The purpose is to improve the pupils’ interests to study martial arts. High teaching quality and high interests are expected to make the martial arts class fit for the mental and physical characteristics of pupils. It can provide the reference and example when promote the development of martial arts class.The study mainly used the experimental method, and based on the literature collecting. Classroom observation, questionnaire investigation and experts interviews are the detection methods and data statistics is used to count the results and detect the standards. Pupils in class two, grade three, Pudong Guanlan Primary school and in class three, grade three, Yangpu Liuyi Primary school are the targets in this study. The experiment lasted four months and the class is given once per week.It is one lesson for a class and 16 lessons in total. The teaching contents, time and cycle are all in the same, but the teachers are different.The article undertake from current situation of the situational teaching study,according to the teaching in class, both physical and mental development of pupils,Pedagogy and Educational Psychology, to get the following conclusion : The Situational Teaching in Martial Arts is this kind of teaching; It is based on Psychology, modern Educational Psychology and Brain Science; Its execution principle is“Initiative,Perceptibility,Creativity,Instructiveness and Practicality”;The specific procedure is “Create- Guide- Experience – Reproduce”;The practice method is “Audiovisual situation, Life situation, Story situation and Role playing situation”.The definition is as follows: enthusiasm of students, let them know the culture in martial arts and improve their cognitive abilities of teaching effects.The study indicates that the Situational Teaching Method in Martial Arts could:(1) promote the students’ interests;(2) promote the active participation in class;(3) strengthen the acquirement of knowledge;(4) make students have the initiative to learn martial arts;(5) improve the study effects;(6) benefit to the development of students’ health, and make students have self-confidence and courtesy;(7) let them show themselves;(8) optimize the teaching method and enrich the teaching contents.Proposes : The teacher should have responsibility and comprehensive knowledge;The teaching contents should be set simple,reasonable and innovative;The program should have a clear purpose; Teacher needs develop with the students simultaneously; The performer should know the necessity to adjust the actual situation.
