In the whole environment of building a harmonious society, carrying out the etiquette education is its inevitable requirement. At the same time, it’s the basic task of moral education at colleges or in universities as well as the necessary step for college students to go to the society. As the basic quality of college students in the modern civilized society, etiquette quality can be mainly acquired from course teaching. Etiquette course belongs to one of the general education courses and one of the quality-oriented education courses as well, which more and more people attach importance to. Therefore, to conduct research into the teaching and educational reform of the college students’etiquette course can not only help the improvement of teaching skills and standards of teachers but also do good for the acquisition of knowledge and the advancement of comprehensive quality of students.On the basis of processing the related articles about learner needs analysis, etiquette education and etiquette course, this article elaborates the necessity of the college students etiquette course setting and its relation with etiquette education and quality education respectively. Then, from the perspective of students learning needs, this paper tries to do a further research of four aspects involved in etiquette course, namely the course objective, the course content, the course implementation and the course evaluation. Based on the result of the questionnaire survey and interview, it makes a comparison between the current situation of etiquette course’s four aspects and its corresponding learning needs of the students so as to find the gap, discover the problems and analyze the causes. Furthermore, it continues to carry on the course objective’s multi-dimensional research, the course content’s modularity research, the course implementation’s revolution research and the course evaluation’s diversity research, which is aimed at throwing out some suggestions to the perfection of the college students’etiquette course.Finally, according to the conclusion drawn from the empirical study and the existing teaching problems in the college students’etiquette course, the paper mainly offers some countermeasures to improve its setting and instruction from three aspects such as the university’s management, the teacher’s teaching and the student’s practice so that it can improve the teaching quality and students’etiquette culture.
