Innovation-education has become the core of quality-oriented education, asthe development of times, the progress of science and the revival of Chinesenation can’t be done without innovation. Being a senior high school teacher ofmathematics for more than10years, the author discusses and studies how tocultivate the ability of innovation through reasonable guess in class.The article first defines the objectives of cultivating ability of innovation insenior high school, and then introduces the relevant theories, such as ModernCognitive Learning Theory, Humanism Learning Theory, ConstructivismLearning Theory and Re-creation Theory by Fruedenthal. In the second chapter,the concept of reasonable guess is given; the two commonly used forms ofit--induction and analogy, are presented in detail; also, the principle and patternof carrying out guess teaching in class are summarized. The third chapter is theexperimental study of carrying out guess teaching, providing readers withcontents suitable for guess teaching in textbooks and two teaching cases. Inchapter four, the author elaborates some strategies on how to carry out guessteaching and cultivate ability of innovation, as follows:(1) changing teachers’traditional idea and establishing innovation-education consciousness;(2)foundingharmonious, comfortable and open classroom environment;(3)creating moreproblem situations in teaching;(4)digging more contents fit for guess teaching intextbooks;(5)paying attention to the continuity and gradualness while cultivatingthe ability of reasonable guess;(6)practicing Pedagogy of Variation.
