Sichuan Nongjihu Agricultural Machinery Maintenance Service Demand And Supply

Agricultural machinery maintenance service is a key point for improving mechanization steady and healthy development. However the development of agricultural machinery is seriously backward in our province, which restrains the progress of mechanization. Through observation and literature review, the behavioral features and equilibrium level of demand and supply for machinery maintenance were studied by qualitative and quantitative analysis with the combination of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis. The purpose is to provide references for strengthening the construction of agricultural machinery maintenance service system.The families of owning machinery are the main body of demanding maintenance service. Welding broken machine, professionally examining machine malfunction and fixing, simply manual repairing are the three main demanding services, with the proportion of 79.7%, 60.2% and 47.6%, respectively. The machinery maintenance services are mainly obtained from the machine sale agents. There are still many problems on agricultural machinery maintenance service. Only around 8% of machine owning families are satisfying on the maintenance service. The income of machine owning families is the main constraint for acquiring machine maintenance service. And the cultural level and income have a positive relationship with the willing for paying the machine maintenance cost. Agricultural machinery maintenance is mainly supplied by the following sites: fixing house, producer, sales, owners. The fixing house is the main source for providing agricultural machinery maintenance service. Many factors are influencing the agricultural machinery service level, such as requirements, cost, techniques, quality of persons and support from government. There are still many problems restricting agricultural machinery service, such as unreasonable distribution of fixing houses, low technical level, backward infrastructure, and so on.The equilibrium level of supplying and requiring of agricultural machinery service is still low in Sichuan province, because the effective requirements and effective supplying of these services are relatively not enough. Some suggestions are concluded through this research as the following, learning the experiences of foreign agricultural machinery service maintenance system, directing by government, improving the communion mechanism of agricultural machine, establishing multi-resources of agricultural machinery maintenance, innovating service pattern, promoting the requirements for agricultural machine from owners, improving the construction of agricultural machinery maintenance service system.
