After World War II, especially after the 2000s, the world economic structure hasundergone tremendous changes, development of key industries to shift fromindustrial manufacturing to the service sector, the global industrial structure showinga significant shift from "industrial economy" to a "service economy", serviceindustry at an unprecedented rate to accelerate development and become animportant force for world economic development. The world today has entered aservice economy, especially with modern science and technology to the servicessector, accelerated penetration, services constantly derived a new approach todevelopment. Occupy an increasingly important role in the process of moderneconomic development.Previous study on the competitiveness of the service sector most of the researchfocuses on regional services, the services sector of the industry is not enoughresearch papers start from the existing competitive research, from a combination oftheoretical and empirical point of view, to the service listed for example, usingfactor analysis methods of empirical analysis in an attempt by the competitiveness ofChina’s service industry research to identify the influencing factors affecting theservices sector competitiveness, and provide a theoretical basis for China’s servicesector to enhance their competitiveness.Using the data of 641 Services listed companies of 2010 as samples, based onan empirical analysis of financial indicators. Assessment of service industrycompetitiveness index system constructed according to the characteristics andcomposition of services in China listed companies competitive, using the method offactor analysis in SPSS software, profitability, operational capacity, solvency andgrowth capacity four aspects listed the company’s financial competitiveness of acomprehensive evaluation. The results show that profitability play a leading role inthe services sector listed companies’ financial competitiveness assessment, the roleof the solvency and operation capability is relatively insufficient, the weakestgrowth. But there is a listed company in 2010 due to strong profitability andintegrated ranking in the 2011’s development, obviously Expressed lack of staminato become the ST Enterprise. This shows that in the long-term development, relying on the profitability of non-balanced development is unsustainable advantage. Inaddition, the financial competitiveness of the services listed companies in the overalllevel is not high, the competitive factor score of only 79 companies greater than 0.4,the strength of the uneven distribution of 87.66% of listed companies in a medium orweak grade. In this paper, countermeasures, such as improving financialcompetitiveness countermeasures, countermeasures of industrialization andurbanization, employment and human resources strategies in order to promote theservices sector to seize opportunities, meet challenges and healthy developmenthelp.
