With the continuous globalization of world’s economy and people’s pursuing for green life, the trade of wood furniture has developed significantly in the world. And Chinese wood furniture trade has overtaken the traditional big wood furniture countries including Italy and Germany and become the stable biggest country of wood furniture trade.Based upon the above background, the paper mainly focuses on the comparative research for wood furniture trade between China and major trade countries. Firstly, through analyzing the situation of wood furniture trade’s development, the thesis speculated the major countries of wood furniture trade in the world. Secondly, the increase’s factors of wood furniture export for China and major trade countries were analyzed by the CMS model. After that, the paper measured the competitive relationship and the respective products with comparative advantage between China and major countries of wood furniture trade by export similarity index and RCA index. Finally, the thesis comparatively analyzed the complementary situation and mode of trade and the trade combined degree by the trade complementary index and G-L index and trade combined degree index. The result of research showed that China, Italy, Germany, Canada, USA, and Malaysia played an important role in the world’s wood furniture trade in general. Besides, the measured countries had the different causes which lead the increase of wood furniture export and had the various product styles with comparative advantage. Furthermore, the competition between China and Italy, between China and Malaysia was much intense. And the trade of complementary product between China and Canada, Italy, Germany was loosely linked, hence, there are a huge potential for the further development of trade cooperation.
