With the rapid economic development, upgrade and development of industrial structurehave become an important foundation of economic growth. Rational development ofindustrial structure has affected the speed and quality of economic development of regionsand even the state. Seen from previous researches, there are many theories and methodsabout comparative analysis on technological and economic structures. However, seen fromthe current research results, majorities of researches on the industrial economic structures ofvarious provinces throughout the country were conducted from the theoretical perspective, lacking data support. In2010, China emphasized on the central economic conference that weshould combine smooth and rapid economic development maintenance and structuraladjustment, combine promotion of independent innovation and cultivation of strategicemerging industries, enhance adjustment of economic structure, and improve the quality andbenefits of economic development. Based on this point, this paper conducts a comprehensivecomparative analysis on the national technological and economic structure utilizinginput-output technologies and combined with the national input-output tables in2007on thebasis of previous researches. This paper is mainly divided into five parts: introduction, researches and theories overview, empirical analysis, cluster analysis, and conclusions andsuggestions. The focus of this paper is empirical analysis and conclusions&suggestions.Part I is introduction, mainly introducing the background of the selected subject, research significances and methods.Part II is theories overview, describing relevant theories of industrial structure, definingsome concepts in the paper and especially introducing the production and developmentprocess of input-output technologies and major indicators used in the input-output analysis.Part III is empirical analysis, including three parts–analysis on directly correlatedeffects of industries in each province throughout the country, analysis on involving effects ofindustries in some provinces in China, and analysis on the structure of three industries. Italso conducts a general assessment for the analysis results. The industrial correlation analysis part mainly includes three parts-analysis onintermediate demands and intermediate inputs, analysis on influence and sensitivity, andcomparative analysis on proportions of three industries, manufacturing and tertiary industry. The first part analyzes the intermediate using and intermediate input of each industry in eachprovince throughout the country, and obtains the development status of each industry in2007through further comparison of data in2007after classification of industries. The second partanalyzes the involving effects of industries in each province throughout the country and distinguishes according to Hirschman criteria, and finally obtains the degree of effects ofeach industry on the development of other industries and the degree of involving effects in2007. The third part analyzes the structure of three industries in some provinces in China andcomparatively analyzes the development status of the structure of three industries in thecountry in2007based on the proportion of three industries, manufacturing and tertiaryindustry.Part IV is cluster analysis, conducting cluster analysis on the involving effects ofindustries in some provinces in China based on the production induction coefficient, whichhas positive effects on the verification of correlation degree. The cluster results are dividedinto four categories, respectively illustrating the structural characteristics of industries insome provinces in China.Party V is conclusions and suggestions, putting forward the problems in the process ofeconomic development and industrial structure adjustment in some provinces in China andproposing corresponding suggestions against these problems.
