With the continuous entry of foreign insurance companies, domestic insurance ompanies are facing unprecedented challenges and impact. How to continuously improve their competitiveness and ability of adaptation and how to improve overall performance and combat capability of the team, the successful management performance become a going concern and an important condition for scientific development. Looking at the existing domestic insurance companies, lack of performance management is: more emphasis on performance appraisal, only concerned with the realization of financial indicators, the lack of a sound performance management system, many domestic insurance companies without the benefit of scale, the pace of development slowed down. Practice shows that only long-term development strategies around the company, change traditional performance management model, consistent with the company’s own scientific development build an effective performance management platform to improve management and operational efficiency, enhance the ability to compete with international competitors.A set of effective insurance companies operating performance evaluation system is conductive to the comprehensive reflection of the insurance company’s operations, disclosures the main problem that insurance companies operating face, make its improve solvency level, strengthen management, enhance profitability. This Paper takes tianan Insurance company performance management for example. The writer studys the performance management from the status quo of the status of its performance management system and analyzes the problems faced, and address these issues as a starting point, combined with the advanced theory and performance management Mature performance management experience, constructs a set of performance management system based on value creation. This Paper Based on the Balanced Scorecard concept and method, refines the insurance company’s five performance indicators:financial, customer, process, learning and development, risk control, designs a complete performance management process, and the related precautions and operation safeguard undertook elaborating, comprehensive system of insurance companies’ operating performance for evaluation, proved through practice, the performance management system to promote the company’s overall performance, effectively promote the company to create value, the implementation of strategic goal and landing.
