Studying, evaluating and analysing the performance of the implemented land consolidation project, is important for us to improve the basic theoretical system.the investment decisions, the level of supervision and management theoretically and practically. Besides, it is conducive for the sustainable development of land consolidation.This article studied the basic theory of performance evaluation in domestic and abroad about this field. From business performance, engineering performance, economic performance, social performance and eco-efficiency performance, it selected20evaluation factors to build the performance evaluation index system of land consolidation project, put forward the entropy-matter element extension model, and introduced the concrete steps of the entropy method to determine the index weight,and the matter-element extension model which is a kind of comprehensive evaluation method in details. At last, it took6sample data to calculate the index system of weightsit,and took the basic farmland c onsolidation project in Goudianpu and Hezhuang town Wuqiao county Hebei province as an exampl e,used the entropy-matter element extension model to evaluate the performance. Comparing with the results obtained by the experts scoring method, the result shows evaluation system established in this study can reflect the performance evaluation of land consolidation project more comprehensively,objectively and effectively, with a good theoretical value and practical significance.
