Research On The Relationship Between Network Embeddedness And Innovation Performance Of Enterpirses

With the development of economic globalization，the economicdevelopment of all countries in the world are involved in the global network ofcompetition and resources, technology, talent can flow freely in this opensuper market.The reason that the developed countries in the global markethave the advantages in the development is which have the power in gettingresource and technology around the world economy to control numbers ofindustries’ development. As a developing country, china on one hand need tolearn the successful experiences of developed countries, on the other handalso need to develop the economy which are suitable for the development ofour own Throughout the developed countries of the economic development inmodern history, we can easily find industry cluster as their major economicdevelopment power was a common phenomenon. Like America’s SiliconValley, and electronic industry cluster128highway, the Hollywood film industrycluster and other local industry clusters. Therefore, technology and resourceswhich are together in geography and space to form industry cluster with localcharacteristics become China’s main power to drive the economic growth. Itwas30years that China began to develop industry cluster actively. Plenty of region has established kinds of industry clusters which were suit for this areaand economic features, and the development level was gradually developedfrom only geographical gathered to innovation cluster which had high contentof technology innovation. As the main part of innovation cluster, clusterenterprises’ innovation achievements will affect the entire industrial clusterdevelopment directly.Therefore, this study research the relationship between networkembedded and enterprise innovation performance with the knowledgeacquisition as intermediary variable, and also want to study the inner relationand influencal mechanism. The paper’s research content are:1．According to the literature research，the study assure the positivecorrelations between network embedded and enterprise innovationperformance based on theory study. In this research, network embeddednesswas divided into the structure embeddedness and the relationalembeddedness. Structure embeddedness is divided into network density,network centrality and structural hole; relational embeddedness is divided into3dimensions which are information sharing, mutual trust and solve problemstogether.2. The research on the mediating role of knowledge. First, research therelationship between network embeddedness and innovation performance ofenterprises, it shows that all network embedded dimensions are promotinginnovation performance of enterprises positively. second, the research also shows that network embeddedness can promote knowledge acquisitionpositively and knowledge acquisition can promote innovation performance ofenterprises too. All researches above prove that knowledge acquisition incluster plays a mediating role in the relationship between each dimension ofnetwork embeddedness and innovation performance of enterprises. Based onthe rigorous theory research, we determine the causal relationships betweensubjects and the resulting intermediary effect.And then, the research uses the empirical analysis method to testify theresearch conclusion,which makes cluster enterprises in Changchun high-techzone as the research objects.1.Network embeddedness’s analytical dimension: information sharing,mutual trust, solve problems together, network density and Network centralityall have a positive role in promoting enterprise innovation performance；2. Knowledge acquisition plays some intermediary role in the relationshipbetween network embeddedness and enterprise innovation performance.Knowledge acquisition plays partial intermediary role in the relationshipbetween network density and enterprise innovation performance; Knowledgeacquisition plays wholly intermediary role between solve problems togetherand enterprise innovation performance. Second, the relationship betweenmutual trust and enterprise innovation performance is not mediated byknowledge acquisition.The empirical analysis result and the theoretical research conclusion are not completely unity, the reason could be:1. The design of the questionnairehas defects;2. Respondents have understanding deviation to the questions,which cause the deviation of the results.3.The difference of regional economicdevelopment characteristics. At the end of the paper, we put forwardsuggestions which may improve the performance of enterprise innovation byameliorating Changchun high-tech cluster networks.
