Performance evaluation is a core part of human resource management. An efficient performance evaluation system can contribute to the achievement of enterprise targets, promote performance, and support sustained development of a company. The design of a scientific and appropriate performance evaluation system,therefore, is very important for increasing the competitiveness of the company.This paper based on the implementation results of KPI performance system at company A in2011,through to the analysis of current situation and existing problems,by using the theory of performance evaluation,target management, KPI performance,and Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory,combined with the statistical analysis and quantification of target management method, developed the KPI-based performance evaluation optimization program for the production system of company A.The new perfonnance evaluation optimization program take the control of KPI as the core,and coverd the whole process of production,including safety,quality,equiptment management,inventory management,etc.By the new plan carrying out,aimed to control the cost of production, improve the overall management level in production system.As the accumulation of experience, the new scheme takes X-workshop as a sample.According to the case study,tries to bring forth sound suggestions and solutions for the establishment of a highly efficient and operable performance evaluation system for the production part of company A.,provide support for the production system to further improve the performance management.Setting from the production realities of company A and in light of the problems and challenges it ran into during its KPI performance evaluation, the paper puts forward related improvement methods such as KPI and enterprise strategy,KPI and salary management,KPI and human resource management, KPI and employee occupation development strategy that prepare the company for long term development and could be used as reference by similar companies.
