Cultivated land is the most basic resources about human-being’s survival and development, which is scarce and irreplaceable and important production information. Protecting andeffectively using limited cultivated land are not only to ensure food security needs, but also thefoundation of social stability. Arable land has been the focus of attention of the world, and howto deal with the relations of farmland protection and economic development, has importantstrategic significance. Our country originally has vast population and limited farmland. Especially since the reformand opening, people placed emphasis on vigorously developing the economy. A large number ofhigh-quality arable land is occupied by construction land, ecological environment is worsening, and land desertification, desertification and salinization are very serious. Coupled with theextensive use of arable land, waste of land resources is extremely serious. If it continues todevelop, exceeding18million mu red line of arable land is only a matter of time. With economicdevelopment and population constantly increasing within a short time, throughout recent years, the national arable land has reduced irreversibly. Faced with such a difficult problem, theintensive use of limited arable land has been the only way.We scientifically definite the connotations of the intensive use and potential based on theprevious research and analysis the arable land in Jining on Spatial Differences through buildingthe evaluation index system of the arable land intensive use. Based on intensive indicators, weselect10indicators about limiting factors, study and analysis the limiting factors of intensiveland use. According to a reasonable evaluation of intensive land use in Jining, we put forwardsome reasonable proposals for increasing the level of the cultivated land intensive use.The results show that the cultivated land resources of Jining City continue to reducecontinually and the overall level of cultivated land intensive do not significantly improve inrecent years. However, the spatial differences are obvious, and it is divided into four areas aboutintensive use with much lower from west to east. In the process of cultivated land use in thefuture, we should not only improve the conditions of arable land from labor, fertilizer and power, but aslo rationally adjust the structure of agricultural production, develop agricultural scienceand technology and increase the effective guidance of government.
